Get Paid to Crash Your Phone

Well, maybe not to crash your phone, but at least to test out some cutting edge beta applications on it. Mob4Hire is the latest startup to be playing in the crowdsourcing arena. Their plan: hook up testers who own mobile phones with companies who want to get cross-platform and cross-carrier testing done. In theory, at least, this could provide more comprehensive testing than most developers could possibly afford to do for themselves.
So far, registered testers far outnumber projects looking for testing, but the service is still in its early days. If you want to get on the list, head over and sign up; there’s a drawing to distribute $1000 to someone who signs up by March 31.
