Create Mobile Sites Easily

We’ve covered the state of the browser market for the mobile web, but what if you’re on the production side of the equation? Wirenode, who bill themselves as “the mobile websites creator,” have an answer for you. They provide easy in-browser tools to create an entirely new site or convert an old one to display well on a variety of mobile devices.
They’ve got a nice little in-browser editor that lets you build up pages from components such as text and images, and then publish them. But even easier are their quick tools, which let you turn an existing RSS/Atom feed or LinkedIn page into a mobile site. With just a few clicks, I ended up with an easily-readable mobile version of WWD. Sites become subdomains of wirenode.mobi, and they automatically offer statistics to publishers. It’s all free as well.

Fortunately my m600i handles WWD pretty well. Although the amount of graphics causes me to press STOP whenever I’m loading it - just to read text. But it’s the same wherever I go on my mobile - the photos are useless on this screen anyway.

I learned about the importance of iPhone compatibility awhile back…and found the iwPhone plugin. It automatically makes your wordpress blog iphone-friendly…if it’s being viewed by that device.
Seems to work -
