AppAppeal Reviews Web 2.0

May 16th, 2008 (8:00am) Mike Gunderloy 1 Comment

ScreenshotAs any WWD reader knows, there are lots of web-based applications out there, with more coming every day. Choosing the right one for your needs is getting increasingly difficult. Review site AppAppeal aims to simplify the process with categorized reviews of these applications. The reviews are broken into categories such as “event planning” or “task management”, and within each category you’ll find half a dozen or more comparative reviews, each covering registration, pricing, features, and differences from other applications as well as basic descriptions.

AppAppeal is useful if you find the applications you’re considering - but bear in mind that Web 2.0 is much larger than they have yet covered. For more applications in less depth, look at SimpleSpark, the Museum of Modern Betas, Listio, or Killer Startups.

Nice roundup. AppAppeal is kind of odd in that it’s about web apps, but doesn’t have an RSS feed :(
